Case Study — Entertainment & Media

A media kit that became the global home of a hit series

The Loyal Pin — Thai GL drama, IdolFactory

Named the official series website by IdolFactory

The Loyal Pin was breaking records inside Thailand and almost invisible to press and audiences outside it. We built theloyalpinseries.com as an English-language media kit to fix that — and it grew into the reference hub for the entire series.

The Brief

Huge at home, invisible abroad

The Loyal Pin is Thailand's first GL period drama — sixteen episodes, a 1950s setting, and a slow-burn love story that pulled hundreds of millions of views on IdolFactory's YouTube channel after its August 2024 premiere.

None of that was easy to find in English. The coverage lived on YouTube, on X, and across fan accounts in a dozen languages. A journalist, a festival programmer, or a curious newcomer had nowhere authoritative to land — no single page that said what the series was, who made it, how big it had become, and where to watch it with subtitles.

The goal was simple to state and hard to build: get the series more eyes outside Thailand, and give press one credible place to find everything.

What We Built

A press resource that doubles as a fan encyclopedia

Two audiences with opposite needs: journalists who want facts fast, and fans who want depth. The structure had to serve both without either one wading through the other's content.

Media kit above the fold

Synopsis, genre, air dates, episodes, distribution, and language availability — everything a journalist needs before they scroll.

Live streaming counter

The current YouTube view count on the homepage and on its own dedicated page, updated daily, so the reach figure never ages.

Cast and crew profiles

Dedicated pages for Freen and Becky, plus the supporting cast and production team — the people usually cut from coverage entirely.

Awards archive for series and cast

Wins and nominations catalogued for the series itself and for each cast member individually, with dates and categories, updated as new ones land.

Viewership record

Air dates, episode-by-episode reach, regional performance, and social trending — a single source of truth for anyone writing about the show.

Cultural context and soundtrack

The 1950s setting, Thailand's soft-power initiative around the series, and a dedicated section for the OST with liner notes on each track.

The structural decision that made it work: the homepage is the media kit, and everything deeper — stats, awards, cast, cultural context, soundtrack — lives on its own indexable page. Press gets a single link to send. Search engines get a dozen pages that can each rank for what someone actually typed. IdolFactory later named the site the official website for the series.

On The Live Site

The pieces doing the work

Four of the sections that turn the site from a one-page media kit into an indexable, self-updating hub.

Reaching Outside Thailand

Built to be found in English, by people who don't know the title

Most people who would love this series will never search for it by name — because they've never heard of it. They search for the genre, the actors, or the thing they half-remember from a clip.

So the site was structured around how discovery actually happens: pages for the lead actors, pages for the genre and cultural context, a streaming stats page, an awards page, and coverage in the language the audience reads it in. Each one is a separate door into the same hub.

The series already had the audience. The site's job was to be the thing that turns up when that audience goes looking in a language other than Thai.

What It Grew Into

One site became a three-site network

The Loyal Pin site answered the question for one series. It immediately raised the next one: where does everything about the two leads live, once they're in other projects?

Started here

theloyalpinseries.com

The media kit and hub for the series — cast, stats, awards, cultural context, press.

Then

freenbeckymedia.com

A dedicated hub for Freen Sarocha and Becky Armstrong — profiles, filmography, press, and upcoming events.

And

craniumglseries.com

The same model applied again to a new series, using a structure already proven to work.

Why This Project Matters

Not every website sells something

Some exist to make something findable, credible, and easy to write about. A media kit, a press hub, a reference site for a body of work — the job is authority, not conversion.

The skills are the same ones behind every site we build: work out who's landing and what they need, structure the content so each audience gets there fast, and give search engines a real reason to send people your way. Whether that ends in an enquiry form or a journalist filing a story, the structural thinking underneath doesn't change.

If you have a body of work — a catalogue, a portfolio, a back catalogue of press — scattered across platforms you don't control, this is the shape of the fix.

Have something worth finding?

Whether it's a business, a catalogue, or a body of creative work — if the right people can't find it, that's a structure problem. Let's talk about what it would take to fix.
